Meraki

How a Meraki bag is made

Every Meraki bag starts as a skein of t-shirt yarn and a crochet hook. The yarn is thick and soft, which gives the bags their chunky, squashy stitches.

Row by row

The body is worked in rounds and rows by hand. Colours are twisted together or changed row by row, which is why no two bags come out quite the same.

Finishing

Once the body is done, the strap is braided or crocheted, the chain and hardware are added, and the fringe is knotted on one strand at a time.
